Chelsea Turner

Chief Operations Officer

As Chief Operations Officer, Chelsea Turner orchestrates MACGH’s player health and award-winning GameSense program.

Decades working in government relations — and the extensive bipartisan relationships she’s built along the way — have cemented Chelsea’s reputation as an exceptional advocate and strategist. Her track record as a lobbyist, policy director for former Gov. M. Jodi Rell, and Connecticut Lottery official, speaks for itself. Her wins include: the passage of civil unions and co-parent adoption in Connecticut, the expansion of the University of Connecticut Health Center, the launch of KENO, and establishing a best-in-class supplier diversity program at the Connecticut Lottery that was recognized by the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council through their “Supplier of the Year” award.

Her legislative successes and problem-solving abilities transfer well to MACGH. Today, her day-to-day responsibilities focus on building out GameSense while establishing industry-leading resources and supports for the growing numbers of bettors across the region and world.

Hailing from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Chelsea received a B.A. at Bates College (go Bobcats!) and a MPA at the University of Connecticut (go Huskies!). She resides in rural, western Maine.

Her job, in her words:

“I help lead a public health harm reduction program in Massachusetts designed to keep casino bettors and sports bettors healthy and mitigate harm that can occur from gambling. I also work on various other projects regarding responsible gambling in Massachusetts and other jurisdictions.”
