2019 Massachusetts Conference on Gambling Problems: Striving Toward a Resilient and Informed Commonwealth, will feature how the Commonwealth is utilizing research and data to informed a public health response aimed to minimize harms associated with gambling. Key to the public health response is at improv protective factors within our communities and decrease the negative consequences of expanded gambling .
The conference will provide various workshops that explores the intersectionality of gambling behaviors, the social determinants of health, and the factors that impact the transition from social to problem gambling. Additionally, the conference will highlight the potential impacts of gambling on communities, families, and individuals.
