Spring Training Institute 2023

April 25 @ 12:00 pm - May 23 @ 3:45 pm

Are you interested in developing the knowledge and skill set to identify and address problem gambling in your clinical practice? Participate in MACGH’s Spring Training Institute.

Hidden problems with gambling often derail recovery from mental health and substance use disorders as signs and symptoms are often missed. This 9-session course, led by national experts, will build skills in gambling disorder assessment, treatment, recovery, and prevention. We will look at the disorder from a trauma-informed lens and consider the role of racial injustice and health inequities as drivers of addiction. By the end of the course, attendees will be confident in their ability to identify and respond appropriately to gambling disorder within their own individual context. Continuing Education Units for this course can be applied toward the Gaming Health Specialist Certificate, the MA-PGS Certificate, and the IGCCB IGCG-1 certification. Classes will meet twice a week over 5 weeks.

PLEASE NOTE: This registration is for a 9-session Training Institute. The Zoom Events system only allows for 6 days. Therefore, after you register for this 6-session Part 1, please separately register by entering just your name and email address for the remaining 3 sessions in Part 2, You will receive a separate ticket for the remaining 3 sessions to save to your calendar.

CEU’s will be granted at the rate of 3.5 CEU’s per attendance at each live class for a total of 31.5 CE hours (PART 1 AND PART 2). If a course is missed, attendees will be able to watch the video of the missed course but not be able to receive CEU credit for any class not attended live.
