John makes a difference in people’s lives as a knowledgeable, driven GameSense Advisor out of Encore Boston Harbor.
John personally knows the complexities of addiction. He’s attended Alcoholics Anonymous with his mom since he was a boy. Before joining GameSense, he was the Assistant Manager of Security at Plainridge Plain Casino. Today, he works on the “other side” of the casino, interacting with guests from all backgrounds in person and via online, secure platforms. He especially appreciates how GameSense resources can change individuals’ understanding and perceptions of gambling.
John spent his younger years in Foxborough, Massachusetts. He holds a B.S. in criminal justice investigative services and M.S. in criminal justice from the University of New Haven. Outside of GameSense, John enjoys watching sports and the world of Middle-earth.
His job, in his words:
“We are at the forefront of responsible gambling in Massachusetts. We promote player health in a fun, approachable way and provide resources and gaming knowledge to new and current players. We dispel myths and can explain the rules and advantages the house would have in all games. We encourage budgeting and provide tips and tools on how to balance your money with gambling and keep it fun!”
