The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will conceptualize, plan, and execute the communication strategies and goals of the Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health, with outcome measurements in mind. The individual in his key role will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the entire Executive Team. S/he will lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive communications and media strategy with an emphasis on digital marketing and campaigns, management of various brands, and generate connections through social media to the Council and its work. The CMO will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of other leaders at the organization to enhance the public’s understanding and compassion around the issues of health, risk, and associated harms related to gambling, video gaming, and cannabis. 

Salary: $95,000-$110,000.

The Post Doc Program Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the programmatic and research efforts of the MACGH. This would include the collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of science-based data concerning responsible gambling, addiction and cannabis, program evaluation and reporting. This role will report directly to the Chief Program Officer and will function as part of a team including the Director of Research Services and the Director of Recovery Services.  

Salary: $65,000-$85,000.

The Lived Experience Advisory Program (LEAP) of The Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health is comprised of people in recovery from gambling disorder and their family members and loved ones. The primary function of LEAP is to advise and provide a recovery-centered perspective to organizations seeking to integrate lived experience into program planning and development. Advisory Board members act in a capacity to increase harm minimization tools, drive problem gambling awareness, and center the voices of people impacted by gambling disorder within a wide range of projects.

LEAP is part of the Gambling Recovery Information Network, also known as the GRIN Initiative. This partnership between MACGH and BetKnowMore emphasizes the importance of people with lived experience, their personal narratives, data-informed programming, and collaboration amongst organizations with a shared vision. Our goal is to create a universal model of support for people looking to reduce or eliminate problematic gambling behaviors and their loved ones. 

Stipend/Reimbursement: LEAP members will receive a stipend of $50 per meeting/hour of activity. If LEAP members are invited to attend in-person events, their mileage or travel expenses will also be reimbursed.

The Peer Specialist is primarily responsible for engaging with individuals who have opted for additional support in engaging in reduction or elimination of problematic gambling behaviors. These supports may include: a follow-up to their self-exclusion (VSE) or Helpline call to offer resources in their geographic area, engagement in the Telephone Recovery Support Program (TRS), or more in-depth recovery support sessions via Zoom. The Peer Specialist will endeavor to establish a positive peer support relationship with those seeking to modify their gambling behavior. They strive to enhance each person’s path of harm reduction or recovery around gambling. Peer specialists will engage in at least 20 hours of peer support training before initiating these services.

Rate of Pay: $22 per hour, flexible schedule
