Using Research to Rewrite the Playbook: Examining the Social Impacts of Sports Betting and the Changing Gambling Landscape

In this inaugural, first-of-its-kind conference, healthcare professionals, researchers, regulators, and policymakers will convene to unpack the social impacts of sports betting and gambling trends. Interactive workshops and panels will explore and uplift the latest data-driven practices to navigate New England’s dynamic gambling landscape.

  • The debut of findings and highlights from the Connecticut Impact Study
  • Leading practices to minimize harm for sports bettors, including developing player support tools and streamlining Voluntary Self-Exclusion
  • Insights from individuals in the recovery community
  • How sports betting unintentionally impacts youth, college students, and families
  • Third-party evaluation and report on GameSense, a Massachusetts education program for track, casino, and sports betting patrons
